Is Clara Tauson playing today?

Right now (as of 25 October 2026) there is no match. After the calf injury in Wuhan on 12 October 2026 she announced two days later that her season was over. She withdrew from Osaka and Tokyo and is spending the rest of the year on rehab and fitness training. She is not entered in any tournament in 2026, and her first tournament of 2027 has not been announced.

Most recently she lost to Marie Bouzkova 1-6, 0-2 (retired) in round 1 of the Wuhan Open (12 October 2026). It was her fourth retirement of 2026 after Adelaide, Miami and Rome, and the season ended with 16 wins and 23 defeats. She is No. 54 in the WTA rankings (as of 19 October 2026). The background to the break – her back and her calf – is on the Clara Tauson next match page.

Clara Tauson today: how to read the start time

On a match day the card at the top shows the start time converted to Danish time. In tennis only the first match on each court has a fixed time. The following matches are listed as “followed by” or “not before”, so a long match before hers can move the start. We follow the tournament’s order of play and correct the time if it changes, including when rain or darkness pushes a match to the next day.

The time difference depends on where she is playing. In January Melbourne is ten hours ahead of Danish time and Auckland twelve hours ahead, so matches in Australia and New Zealand are usually played during the night or the morning in Denmark. In the Middle East the gap is a few hours, in Europe there is no difference or one hour, and in North America matches usually fall in the afternoon, evening or night Danish time.

Where is Clara Tauson playing?

As of 25 October 2026 she is not playing anywhere: the season is over and the rest of the year is for rehab. Once she is back, the tournament, city and surface appear in the card at the top. In 2026 she played 23 singles tournaments on four continents – from Brisbane and Melbourne in January via the Middle East, the United States and the European clay and grass seasons to Beijing and Wuhan in October. Most of it was on hard courts, where she won 14 and lost 16 matches; on grass she went 2-4, and on clay she lost all three matches.

The 2027 season traditionally starts in Australia and New Zealand. The calendar includes Brisbane (3–10 January), Auckland (4–10 January), where she won the title in 2025, Adelaide (11–16 January) and the Australian Open in Melbourne (17–31 January). None of them is confirmed for her yet, because the entry lists are not out. The status of each event is in the Clara Tauson schedule.

What a result means

Every match counts towards the rankings. A win earns points according to the category of the tournament and the round, while an early defeat does not cost points in itself – but the points from the same event a year earlier drop off. That is why she fell in 2026: she started the year in the top 15 with a lot of points to defend from 2025, including the Auckland title, the Dubai final, the Montreal semifinal and the fourth round at Wimbledon. With the injuries and early defeats she fell to No. 54 in October 2026. Against top-10 players she lost both her matches in 2026, to Jessica Pegula in Dubai and Linda Nosková in Cincinnati.

All her 2026 matches with date, tournament, round, opponent and score are on the Clara Tauson results page, including the four retirements and the best weeks of the season: the semifinal in Abu Dhabi, the quarterfinal in Dubai, the semifinal in Athens and the quarterfinal in Monterrey.

A typical tournament week

Once she is back, the days follow a pattern. At a regular WTA event the matches are spread over one week, and if she wins, the next match is usually the following day. At the Grand Slams the main draw lasts two weeks and the women usually play every other day. At the big WTA 1000 events the top seeds can start in round 2 because they receive a bye in round 1. So the card may show a match today, a match tomorrow, or a match whose opponent is still to be decided.
