Sorted by the opponent’s current ranking. All levels incl. qualifying. Source: WTA. Score from Clara Tauson’s side.

She has winning records against Elina Svitolina, Madison Keys, Qinwen Zheng and Emma Navarro (2-0 each) and Ekaterina Alexandrova (3-0). The hardest opponents have been Andreeva, Danielle Collins (0-3) and Paula Badosa (1-3).

New names arrived in 2026. She lost her first meetings with Victoria Mboko (Australian Open) and Jessica Pegula (Dubai); Karolína Muchová levelled their record at 1-1 by winning the Bad Homburg quarter-final; she leads Linda Nosková 2-1 after two wins in 2025 and a loss in Cincinnati; and she is 1-1 with Diana Shnaider after the Bad Homburg win that ended her long losing run.

Clara Tauson vs Sabalenka: 1-1

Both meetings came in 2025. Sabalenka won in the third round of the Australian Open in January (6-7(5), 4-6 from Tauson's side). A month later in Dubai, Tauson won 6-3, 6-2 in the third round – her first win over a reigning world No. 1, and the start of the run to her first WTA 1000 final.

The Dubai win also mattered for the record books: in the same week she beat Elina Svitolina, Linda Nosková and Karolína Muchová, so that one tournament accounts for several of her best head-to-head records.

Clara Tauson vs Mirra Andreeva: 0-4

All four matches were in 2025: the Dubai final (6-7(1), 1-6), Indian Wells (3-6, 0-6), Rome (7-5, 3-6, 2-6) and Bad Homburg (6-3, 3-6, 1-6). Twice she won the first set and lost the next two. Andreeva is world No. 3 as of 19 October 2026.

Świątek and Rybakina

Iga Świątek: 1-2

Świątek won in Indian Wells in 2022 (7-6(3), 2-6, 1-6 from Tauson's side) and in the fourth round of Wimbledon 2025 (4-6, 1-6) on her way to the title. Four weeks later Tauson won 7-6(1), 6-3 at the Canadian Open in Montreal.

Elena Rybakina: 1-2

Rybakina, world No. 1 as of 19 October 2026, won their meetings in Båstad in 2019 and Miami in 2024. Tauson won 7-6(6), 6-3 in the third round of Wimbledon 2025 to reach the fourth round there for the first time.

The Montreal win over Świątek came in the fourth round and was followed by a 6-1, 6-4 win over Madison Keys in the quarter-finals – two top-10 wins in three days on the way to her second WTA 1000 semi-final. The Wimbledon win over Rybakina was equally important: it took her into the second week in London for the first time.

Paolini and Osaka

Jasmine Paolini: 0-2

Tauson lost in Beijing in 2024 after winning the first set 6-1, and retired against the Italian in Wuhan in 2025 at 6-3, 1-6, 1-3. In January 2026 TV 2 reported that the two practised together in Melbourne – probably why some people search for an "Italian coach". Her coach is Kasper Elsvad; see the Clara Tauson coach page.

Naomi Osaka: 1-1

Osaka won the first set of the 2025 Auckland final 6-4 and then retired, giving Tauson her third WTA title. In the Montreal semi-final in August Tauson lost 2-6, 6-7(7).

Clara Tauson vs Leylah Fernandez

They met in the girls' singles final of the 2019 Australian Open, which Tauson won 6-4, 6-3 – the first Danish girl to take that title. Junior matches do not count in the WTA head-to-head. On the tour it is 1-1: Tauson won 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 in the second round of the 2023 French Open, which she entered as a qualifier, and retired after losing the first set 0-6 in Cleveland later that year. Her junior years are covered on the Clara Tauson career page.

Clara Tauson vs Gauff – have they played?

No. According to the WTA match data, Clara Tauson and Coco Gauff have never met in singles – not on the tour, at the Grand Slams or in qualifying (as of 25 October 2026). If they meet in 2027, the match will appear in the table above.

The WTA data only lists players she has actually faced, so a missing name in the table simply means they have never met in an official match.

Clara Tauson has ended her 2026 season because of injuries, and her first tournament of 2027 has not been announced yet. The first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open, is played on 17–31 January 2027.
