Clara Tauson prize money: according to the WTA she has earned $5,762,435 in her career – about DKK 38 million – in singles and doubles combined, and $1,334,084 so far in 2026. These are gross figures, before tax and expenses, so they do not show what she keeps. Below: season-by-season totals, her biggest paydays, and why there is no reliable Clara Tauson net worth figure.
Clara Tauson career prize money
The WTA's official prize-money record is the only reliable source. Her career total is $5,762,435 (as of 25 October 2026), covering every event since her first ITF tournaments in 2017, singles and doubles. The conversion to Danish kroner is only a guide, since the money was paid over many years at changing exchange rates. Most of it was earned at the top level: Grand Slams and WTA 1000 events pay far more than the rest of the tour, even in the early rounds.

Her early ITF seasons paid little, and even in 2021, with two WTA titles, she earned under half a million dollars. The jump came in 2024, when the French Open fourth round nearly doubled her earnings, and in 2025 – the Dubai final, the Auckland title and the Wimbledon fourth round – her best year with more than two million dollars. Season totals are summed from WTA tournament data and may differ slightly from other counts such as ESPN's.
2026 is her second-best year financially despite a 16-23 record, because as a top-50 player she entered the biggest events directly, where even a first-round loss pays well: according to WTA data, her first-round exit at the 2026 US Open was worth about $140,000.
Doubles adds to the total too: according to WTA tournament data she earned about $209,000 in doubles in 2026 and about $157,000 in 2025, while in most earlier seasons it was under $40,000 a year.
Her biggest paydays
- Dubai 2025, final (WTA 1000): about $352,000
- Wimbledon 2025, fourth round: about $325,000
- French Open 2024, fourth round: about $286,000
- Australian Open 2026, third round: about $212,000
- Canadian Open, Montreal 2025, semi-final (WTA 1000): about $206,000
Singles only, from WTA tournament data. A Wimbledon fourth round paid almost as much as a Dubai final, while her titles in Lyon, Luxembourg and Auckland were WTA 250 events and paid much less. The events are on the Clara Tauson titles page.
How much does Clara Tauson earn – and what does it cost?
Prize money is not income. A professional player pays her own coach, travel, hotels, physiotherapy and equipment beyond what sponsors cover, and Tauson travels all year between Australia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and Asia. When she was a junior, her father Søren Tauson estimated that a season cost around DKK 650,000, and the family looked for sponsors. Her work with Belgian coach Olivier Jeunehomme ended in December 2022 because the family could not afford to renew the contract, TV 2 reported. Since September 2024 her boyfriend Kasper Elsvad has coached her – see the Clara Tauson coach page.
Then there is tax: prize money can be taxed both where it is won and where the player lives, with treaties to avoid double taxation. How much tax she pays is not public, and we do not guess. Players also have no salary – income is prize money, which depends on results, plus sponsorship deals whose amounts are rarely published.
Injuries matter financially as well. While she is out, no prize money comes in, and her ranking – which decides whether she enters the big events directly – can slip as points expire. That is why the timing of her return in 2027 matters for her earnings as well as her results.
Clara Tauson net worth – why there is no figure
Searches for Clara Tauson net worth turn up various numbers, but none is based on public information. Net worth depends on tax, expenses, savings and sponsorship contracts, none of which is public in her case. The only estimate we found, on a Danish website, puts her annual earnings including sponsors at around DKK 13 million, with no sources given. We therefore use only the WTA's official prize money and give no net worth figure.
What we can say with confidence is how the official prize money has grown: from about $43,000 in 2019 to more than two million dollars in 2025, and a career total of $5,762,435.
Sponsors
She has used Yonex rackets since 2018, signed a Yonex deal that December and now plays a Yonex Percept 100. Past sponsors include the investment firm Seier Capital (from 2019) and the law firm Kromann Reumert (2022–2024); amounts were not disclosed. More on the Clara Tauson racket and sponsors page.
Clara Tauson ended her 2026 season on 14 October after a calf injury in Wuhan, so no more prize money will be added in 2026.
