Clara Tauson has played all four majors, and her best results are two fourth rounds: the French Open (Roland Garros) in 2024 and Wimbledon in 2025. At the Australian Open she has reached the third round three times, and at the US Open her best is the second round. Her only Grand Slam title so far came as a junior, when she won the girls' singles in Melbourne in 2019. This page collects her full Clara Tauson Grand Slam record.
Clara Tauson Grand Slam results year by year
The table shows how far she has gone at each major since her debut in 2020. "Q" means she lost in qualifying; "(Q)" means she reached the main draw as a qualifier. The figures come from the WTA's official match data.

R = main-draw round, Q1–Q3 = lost in qualifying, (Q) = came through qualifying, – = did not play. Junior title: 2019 Australian Open (girls’ singles). Source: WTA.
Her debut came at the French Open in autumn 2020, when the tournament had been moved to September because of the pandemic. She came through qualifying, won her first main-draw match and lost to Danielle Collins in round two. According to the WTA match list and Wikipedia's timeline she also reached the second round in Paris in 2021, losing 5-7, 4-6 to Victoria Azarenka. The same year she made her main-draw debuts at Wimbledon and the US Open.
In 2022 she earned her first win over a top-10 player, beating Anett Kontaveit on her way to the third round in Melbourne. The rest of that year was shaped by a back injury that cost her the French Open and ended in a retirement at Wimbledon. 2023 was a rebuilding year: injured during the Australian Open, she came through qualifying to the third round in Paris and lost in the final qualifying round at Wimbledon. Since 2024 she has been a direct entry into the main draws.
Her best result at each major
As of 25 October 2026 her best Grand Slam results are:
- Australian Open: third round in 2022, 2025 and 2026. In 2025 she lost 6-7(5), 4-6 to world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.
- French Open (Roland Garros): fourth round in 2024, where Ons Jabeur won 6-4, 6-4. At the time it was her best major result.
- Wimbledon: fourth round in 2025. She beat Elena Rybakina in round three and then lost 4-6, 1-6 to Iga Świątek, who went on to win the title.
- US Open: second round in 2021, 2023 and 2024.
So she has not yet gone beyond the fourth round; a first Grand Slam quarterfinal is the step still missing. On the WTA Tour, by comparison, she reached the Dubai WTA 1000 final and the Montreal semifinal, both in 2025.
Across the whole record, Melbourne and Paris are where she has been most consistent. At the Australian Open she has won at least one match every time she has played the main draw (2022, 2024, 2025 and 2026). At the French Open she has reached at least round two in five of six attempts; only 2026 ended in the first round. Wimbledon is the opposite picture: one big run in 2025 and otherwise first-round defeats in 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2026. At the US Open she has never won more than one match, and the last two years ended in round one – in 2025 after a dramatic third-set tiebreak against Alex Eala.

Every match and opponent is listed on the pages about Clara Tauson at the Australian Open, the French Open and Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open in New York.
The 2019 Australian Open junior title
Before her senior career took off, Tauson had already made Danish tennis history in Melbourne. In January 2019 she won the Australian Open girls' singles, beating Canada's Leylah Fernandez 6-4, 6-3 in the final, and became the first Danish girl to win the junior title there.
The win lifted her to No. 1 in the junior world rankings – again a first for a Danish girl. In August 2019 she stopped playing junior events to focus fully on the senior tour. The same year Holger Rune won the boys' title at the French Open, giving Denmark two junior Grand Slam champions in 2019.
The 2026 majors: a third round, then three first-round exits
The year started well. In Melbourne she beat Dalma Galfi and Polina Kudermetova before losing a tight third-round match to Victoria Mboko, 6-7(5), 7-5, 3-6. Then her back took over. From March she had to retire in Miami and Rome, and on 22 May 2026 she told TV 2 that she has two herniated discs, which she described as chronic.
Two days later she lost in the first round of the French Open to Daria Snigur after winning the first set. Maria Sakkari beat her in round one at Wimbledon, and Sloane Stephens did the same at the US Open. Clara Tauson ended her 2026 season on 14 October after a calf injury in Wuhan. Many of the ranking points from her strong 2025 season have now dropped off. Clara Tauson is ranked No. 54 in the WTA rankings (as of 19 October 2026).
