Betting on Clara Tauson

Only bookmakers with a Danish licence are legal in Denmark. How to bet on Clara Tauson’s matches – and how to keep it fun.

Updated 25 October 2026 ·

If you want to bet on Clara Tauson, only do it with a bookmaker licensed by the Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden) – it is the only legal way in Denmark, and only licensed operators are covered by ROFUS and the Danish player-protection rules. Right now, however, there are no matches to bet on: she has ended her 2026 season and will not return until 2027. This guide explains how to check a licence, which tennis markets exist and what you need to know about retirements. Gambling is for adults aged 18 and over only.

Betting on Clara Tauson: only with a Danish licence

The Danish Gambling Authority issues betting licences and supervises the companies that hold them. An operator without a Danish licence may not target Danish players. If you bet there anyway, you lose the protection the law gives you: you are not covered by ROFUS, there is no Danish authority to complain to, and there is no guarantee that winnings will be paid out.

How to check a licence

  • Use the authority’s list. At spillemyndigheden.dk you can see which companies hold a licence. Search for the company name, not just the website name – they are not always the same.
  • Look at the front page. A licensed operator must state on its front page that it is licensed and supervised by the Danish Gambling Authority and must display the authority’s mark. A logo can be copied, so always check the list.
  • Identity check with MitID. Danish operators must verify who you are. Until that is done, you can only have a temporary account.
  • A deposit limit from day one. Before you can bet, you must choose a daily, weekly or monthly deposit limit. If you raise it, the change takes effect after 24 hours at the earliest.

Tennis betting markets explained

The choice depends on the bookmaker and the tournament, but most WTA matches offer the same basic markets. The examples below are hypothetical and only show how the bets work – they are not recommendations.

Match winner

The simplest bet: who wins the match? A tennis match cannot end in a draw, so there are only two outcomes. If player A is priced at 1.60, you get 160 kr. back for 100 kr. if she wins. The lower the odds, the bigger the chance the bookmaker gives the player – and the smaller the payout. Odds of 1.60 correspond to about 62 per cent before the margin.

Sets

Women play best of three sets everywhere, including at the Grand Slams. You can bet on who wins the first set, whether the match goes to two or three sets, or on the exact score, 2-0 or 2-1.

Games and handicaps

In a total-games bet you choose whether the match will have more or fewer games than a set line, for example 21.5. A handicap gives one player a head start or a deficit in games: with a handicap of minus 3.5 games, the player must win at least four games more than her opponent for the bet to win.

Live betting

During the match the odds change after every point. The pace is high, and this is where it is easiest to lose track of how much you have spent. Set a limit before the first serve and stick to it.

Outright and long-term bets

You can also bet on who wins a whole tournament or on ranking positions. These bets are settled only after a long time and depend on the draw, withdrawals and injuries. How we look at win chances is explained on our page about Clara Tauson odds and predictions.

Retirements and withdrawals: what to know before you bet

Tennis has special rules when a match is not finished. If a player retires mid-match, bookmakers settle bets differently: some void them, others let them stand if a certain number of sets has been completed. It is in the bookmaker’s rules, and you should read them before you bet.

For Clara Tauson this has been very real. In 2026 she retired in Miami, Rome and Wuhan. Clara Tauson ended her 2026 season on 14 October after a calf injury in Wuhan, and her first tournament of 2027 has not been announced yet. She is ranked No. 54 by the WTA (as of 19 October 2026). Once she enters a tournament, you can follow dates and opponents on the page about Clara Tauson’s next match.

Our partner and the ads on this site

Clara Tauson Tennis works with a bookmaker licensed in Denmark, which we call our partner. Ads are labelled “Annonce” and 18+, and links to the partner go through an internal redirect on our own domain. As of 25 October 2026 the partner link is not active yet, so a click only leads to a neutral page. We do not show bonuses or offers we cannot stand behind.

The partnership has no influence on our articles, results or predictions. How the site is funded is explained in our affiliate disclosure. Clara Tauson, her family and her team have no connection to this site or to our partner.

ROFUS and StopSpillet: help if betting takes over

Betting should be entertainment. The bookmaker’s margin is built into every price, so over time bettors lose on average. Only bet an amount you have decided in advance you can do without, and never try to win back a loss.

  • ROFUS – the Danish register of voluntarily excluded players – lets you exclude yourself from all operators licensed in Denmark: for 24 hours, for one, three or six months, or permanently. You sign up with MitID at rofus.nu.
  • StopSpillet offers free, anonymous advice on 70 22 28 25 and at stopspillet.dk – for relatives too.
  • Center for Ludomani offers free treatment, see ludomani.dk.
